Eric Pellizzari

Chef Eric Pellizzari was born and raised in the southwest of France and has been a culinary educator from 2000 to 2023. His teaching career began as an instructor at the Art Institute of New York City, followed by adjunct roles at Suffolk Community College (S.U.N.Y.) and Monroe College. In 2009, he transitioned to a full-time instructor position, further solidifying his commitment to culinary education.

Chef Eric’s culinary journey started in 1983 after earning a hotel management degree. He honed his craft in the kitchens of renowned chefs Joel Robuchon and Jacques Senechal (La Tour D’Argent) at The Nikko Hotel in Paris. In 1988, he moved to New York City and joined the team at Windows on the World, a pivotal experience that shaped his path as both a chef and educator.

Throughout his career, Chef Eric has been actively involved with the American Culinary Federation (ACF), earning prestigious accolades such as a Silver Medal at the IKA Culinary Olympics and the Chapter Chef of the Year award in 2018. He is also a Certified Executive Chef (CEC), Certified Culinary Educator (CCE), and an Approved Certification Evaluator (ACE), in addition to being an ACF-approved judge and a member of the ACF Academy. His extensive competition experience and dedication to culinary excellence underscore his passion for the craft and his commitment to mentoring the next generation of culinary professionals.
