Culinary Basics Training Course
In this program, students will develop essential skills required to work as a line cook in a professional kitchen, including knife handling, plating techniques, and safety standards. The course also covers food temperatures, kitchen documentation, and compliance protocols. Participants will earn certifications, including the ServSafe Food Certification and a CEC Completion Certificate, while applying their knowledge through hands-on practice in a fully equipped professional kitchen.

- Basic food safety principles, including proper cooking, cooling, and storage practices to prevent foodborne illness
- Personal hygiene requirements, such as effective handwashing and illness reporting
- Cleaning and sanitizing procedures for equipment, utensils, and food-contact surfaces
- Safe receiving and handling of food, including time and temperature controls, and preventing cross-contamination
